Woah! Big changes proposed in the Moodyville neighborhood of North Vancouver. A developer has scooped up 52 out of 60 lots nestled east of St. David’s Ave. and south of E. 2nd St. Currently at the proposal stage, Seacliff Properties alongside Brent Toderian (former Vancouver Chief Planner) plan to reinvigorate the neighborhood with shared social spaces, community gardens, walkways alongside a wide mix of townhomes, row homes and ultra low energy homes.
Altogether it looks like an ambitious proposal and a very interesting opportunity to try out a new concept of suburban living. Moodyville pre-zoning will be brought to a public hearing in early 2016. Specific details on the southeast Moodyville sub-area development and design controls will be available when bylaws are brought to council for first reading.
